Five Women's Track & Field Standouts Earn All-Region Honors

Salem, Va. – Five Roanoke College Women's Track & Field standouts have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South/Southeast All-Region Team.

Lily Lippert, Lindsey Baxter, Quinn Harlan, Mara Briggs and Jennifer Calascione have all been named All-Region by the USTFCCCA.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.

Lippert was honored for her performance in the 60m hurdles, specifically her time of 9.29 at the ODAC Championships which ranks as the fifth-best time in the region.

Baxter was honored in the pole vault thanks to her mark of 3.40m / 11' 1.75" at the Finn Pincus Invitational which was the fourth-best in the region and second best in the ODAC.

Harlan's time of 7.69 in the 60m race at the Virginia Tech Challenge was not only tops in the region but was the fifth-best in Division III, helping her qualify for the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston, Mass., this weekend.

Briggs owns the top high jump mark in the region after she posted a 1.65 / 5' 5" at the Virginia Tech Challenge. The jump also ranks 28th nationally.

Calascione's throw of 12.32m / 40' 5" at the Keydet Invitational ranks third in the region helping her garner her all-region accolades.
