Volleyball Falls to Randolph, 3-1 in ODAC Contest
LYNCHBURG - The Roanoke Volleyball team fell to Randolph, 3-1 in ODAC competition on Tuesday at the RAD Center. The Maroons fall to 3-11, 1-3 ODAC while Randolph move up to 8-5, 2-3 in ODAC competition.

The Maroons dropped the first two sets (25-21, 25-20) but picked up the third set 25-18. Roanoke, however, could not hold off the WildCats who won the fourth set, 25-21. Shana Nelson led the WildCats with 13 kills, with Jordan Templin behind her with 12 kills of her own.

Kelsey Largen (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring) led the team in kills with 11, followed by Sarah Long (Midlothian, VA, Midlothian High School) with 10. With Largen's 11 kills, she passed former teammate and 2011 graduate Maggie Wagner for fifth on the all-time list. Long led the team in digs with eight. Shannon Stone (Williamsburg, VA, Lafayette) picked up a team-high 29 assists, which was enough to pass Kelly Valoris '03 for sixth on the all-time career list.

While this is the first time that Roanoke has lost to Randolph College in 15 years, the Maroons still lead the all-time series 31-12.

The Maroons return to action Tuesday, Oct. 1, as they host Bridgewater at the C. Homer Bast Center. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
