The Maroons started off the weekend with their third-straight win against PSU-Harrisburg, 3-0 on Friday afternoon. Scores were 25-15, 25-8 and 25-22. Jordan Haga had a season-best 19 assists while Kelsey Largen tallied 11 kills. Rachel Hawkins totaled six kills and three blocks.
The women dropped the evening match against Fairleigh Dickinson, 3-1 with scores of 25-23, 21-25, 21-25 and 23-25. The Devils are 27-7 this year and are riding a six-match winning streak. The Maroons broke the Devils 12-set win-streak in the first frame. Shannon Stone finished with 27 assists and nine digs to lead RC. Samantha Klostermann had 10 kills and Largen contributed nine for the Maroons.
In the first game on Saturday, tournament-host Messiah dropped Roanoke in straight sets with scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-13. The Falcons, who are undefeated in their conference for the first time in program-history, are 24-5 this fall. Largen and Klostermann led the team with six and five kills, respectively, while MacKenzie Allen and Lagren combined for 11 digs. Stone and Haga totaled 13 assists.
In the final match of the season, Roanoke fell to Catholic, 3-0 to complete the weekend. The Cardinals, who are 25-7, won with scores of 25-15, 25-15 and 25-14. Kelsey Largen led Roanoke with nine kills and nine digs followed by Klostermann with seven kills. Allen and Molly Taylor had eight digs each. Stone and Haga combined for 19 assists.
