Volleyball Defeats Randolph in Four Sets, Move to .500 in ODAC Play
SALEM - The Roanoke College volleyball team moves to .500 in ODAC play after defeating Randolph College at home, 3-1 (25-20, 19-25, 25-15, 26-24) on Tuesday night.

The Maroons now hold a 6-4, 1-1 ODAC record, while the Wildcats are now 2-8, 0-1 in ODAC play. Roanoke has won 21 of the last 23 meetings between these two teams.

The two teams traded the first pair of sets, taking a 1-1 tie after two sets. The Maroons pulled ahead in the third set taking the 25-15 advantage in to the fourth set.

In the fourth set, Roanoke trailed 1-5, before rallying to tie the score at 9-9. The Maroons went on to go ahead by as many as four (16-12), before the Wildcats started a rally of their own. Roanoke led 19-17 before Randolph's Grayce Darden rattled off six straight points at service to pull the Wildcats ahead 22-20.

Roanoke's Alexandra Martin won the next three points for the Maroons tying the game at 23-23. Randolph and Roanoke traded the next two points to tie the game at 24-24. Then the Maroons took home the final two points after a Sarah Long kill, and a Randolph attack error.

Rachel Kilinski led the Maroons in kills with 11, follwed by Allison White with eight and Samantha Klostermann with seven. Mackenzie Tyree continues to top the Roanoke digs list as the tallied 17 in the game. White and Macey Tyree had 14 and 12, respectively. Klostermann also put away two blocks on the night. Two player topped the Maroons in assits, Martin (18) and Samantha Toy (15).

The Maroons will play again on Thursday, September 13 as they play host to Mary Baldwin College at 7:00 PM.
