Maroons Stopped by Washington and Lee in First Round of ODAC Tournament, 3-0
LEXINGTON - The Roanoke College volleyball team fell in the opening round of the ODAC Volleyball Tournament 3-0 (22-25, 15-25, 14-25) to Washington and Lee on Wednesday Evening.

The Maroons finished the season with a record of 16-15 (5-6 ODAC), more than doubling their win total from the 2011 season. The season also came with some milestones for a couple of players. Senior setter Shannon Stone moved up to third all-time in assists at Roanoke, dishing out 1912 assists over the past four years. Mackenzie Tyree, after playing in the match tonight, broke the single-season digs record, posting 482 over the course of 102 games. The previous record was held by Caitlyn Long Moore, who tallied 477 digs in the 2007 season.

Macey Tyree led the Maroons in kills against Washington and Lee with seven, followed by Allison White and Sarah Long with five each. Shannon Stone topped the Maroons in assists with 11, and Alexandra Martin finished with eight. Mackenzie Tyree pulled up 14 digs, while Stone had eight. Mackenzie Allen had four total blocks, and Klostermann had three.

M.A. Boles led the Generals (24-9, 10-1 ODAC) in kills with 14. Anna Lausberg topped W&L in digs with 15. Meghan Meleski dished out 26 assists, followed by Alex Kinzer with 16.
