GREENSBORO, NC – Roanoke College volleyball coach Blair Trail won her 250^th career volleyball match on Saturday afternoon, as the Maroons went 2-0 in the first day of the Greensboro Invitational. Roanoke swept both Agnes Scott and William Peace, 3-0. The Maroons now have a 4-3 record, with two games left to play in the invitational.

Roanoke's head coach Blair Trail picked up her 250^th and 251^st victory with the two wins that the Maroons earned today. Trail, who has been head coach of the Maroons for the past 15 years, has averaged 16 wins a season over her career, and has had 11 of 15 seasons with 15 wins or more.

The Maroons defeated Agnes Scott in three sets (25-9, 25-21, 25-18). Macey Tyree led the team with 12 kills, while Sarah Long finished with six. Jessica Block and Alexandra Martin finished with seven assists each. Martin also finished the contest with 11 digs.

In the second contest, Roanoke defeated William peace in three straight sets, 25-14, 25-23, 25-17. Samantha Klostermann tallied 15 kills and eight digs, while Sarah Long had six kills. Macey Tyree finished with five kills on the evening. Jessica Block dished out a team high 18 assists and four service aces. Mackenzie Tyree pulled out 12 digs. Alexandra Martin finished with seven assists and five digs.

The Maroons return to action on Sunday, September 8^th as the Maroons play in day two of the Greensboro Invitational. They will take on host school Greensboro at 10:00 AM, then go on to face Guilford at 4:00 PM.
