Kelsey Martin is originally from Wilmington, Delaware, where she was a 16 season athlete throughout high school for The Tatnall School.

After high school, she played field hockey for the Maroons from 2015-2019, serving as one of the senior captains for the 2019 season.

After Roanoke, Kelsey moved back to Delaware to be an assistant coach for her alma mater, Tatnall. She continued on as assistant from 2019-2020, coaching a Conference Champion and State Final-Four Team. In 2021, Kelsey was offered the Head Coach position and immediately jumped at the opportunity to lead the team. In 2021, she again led her team to win the Delaware Independent School Conference Championship and advanced to the State Quarterfinals. In 2022, her second year as Head Coach, Tatnall won the DISC title for the 3rd year in a row and advanced to the State Semi-Finals. Kelsey has acquired 28 wins and only 6 losses in her career as Head Coach and was voted DISC Coach of the Year following the 2022 season.

Along with coaching at the high school level, Kelsey also coaches at the club level for Empower Field Hockey Academy, which is based in Newark, Delaware. She coaches U-10 & U-12's at the developmental level mainly but occasionally coaches the U-16's at the competitive level.

At Roanoke, Kelsey is looking forward to continuing to build off of Coach Banks' success and working towards an ODAC title!
