Roanoke Falls On Second Half GoalApril 09, 2021The 2020-21 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women’s Soccer Tournament continued on Friday afternoon. The #3 seeded Maroons traveled to Bridgewater to take on the #2 Eagles in one semifinal. Bridgewater had defeated Roanoke, 2-1, back on March 14th with the Maroons looking to exact a bit of revenge with a berth in the Finals on the line. With only five combined shots on goal, the match would be tightly contested. A late second half score by the Eagles would be the difference as BC advanced with the 1-0 win.

Roanoke Moves To Second RoundApril 06, 2021The Roanoke College women's soccer team earned the #3 seed going into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament. The Maroons played host to Randolph-Macon on Tuesday afternoon in the quarterfinal round. RC had defeated the Yellow Jackets, 1-0, in Ashland on March 28th with an overtime goal. Roanoke scored off a free kick at the 31 minute mark and the defense would make that score hold up as the Maroons advanced with the win over Randolph-Macon.

Win In Regular Season FinaleApril 03, 2021The Roanoke women's soccer team played host to the University of Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon. The match was the final regular season and Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) contest before the start of the conference tournament on Tuesday. Roanoke scored first and added a second half goal to close out the regular season with their fourth consecutive victory.

Overtime Goal Leads To Road WinMarch 28, 2021For the final time this regular season, the Roanoke women’s soccer team was on the road when they made the trip to face Randolph-Macon on Sunday afternoon. The two Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foes would end the 90 minutes of regulation in a scoreless tie. However, just over three minutes into overtime the Maroons were awarded a penalty shot that was put into the back of the Yellow Jackets net for the 1-0 win.

Roanoke Rally Falls ShortMarch 14, 2021The Maroons hosted Bridgewater College on Saturday afternoon. After defeating Emory & Henry last week, Roanoke looked to run their home record to 3-0 against an Eagles team that came into the match with a perfect 4-0 conference record. Bridgewater scored half way through the second half and added to their lead in the final five minutes. The Maroons got a late score but fell to the Eagles, 2-1.

Roanoke Posts 4-0 Win Over E&HMarch 11, 2021Roanoke College played host to Emory & Henry on Thursday afternoon. The Maroons used a 42-2 shot advantage to control the action throughout on their way to a 4-0 ODAC win.

Petrucelli Hat Trick Leads Roanoke ComebackMarch 07, 2021The Roanoke College women’s soccer team welcomed Shenandoah to Kerr Stadium for their 2021 home debut. The Maroons were in search of their first win of the season and it didn’t look good as the Hornets enjoyed a 3-0 lead with 30 minutes left to play. A furious rally tied the match and RC would net the game winner less than two minutes before the final horn.

Early Goal the Difference in Virginia BeachFebruary 28, 2021The Roanoke College women’s soccer team was on the road for the third time in as many Sundays as they traveled to face Virginia Wesleyan. The Maroons would out-shoot their hosts but an early Marlins goal was the difference as Virginia Wesleyan would hold on for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win, 1-0.

Late Goal Spoils Roanoke OpenerFebruary 21, 2021After going to Radford for an exhibition match with the Highlanders last week, the Roanoke women’s soccer team went on the road to face Ferrum College in their season, and Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opener. The Maroons scored early in the second half to take the lead. However, the Panthers would net the equalizer with just over 10 minutes left to play to force overtime. Despite out-shooting their hosts in the two extra frames, 3-0, Roanoke could not net the game winner and the match ended in a draw.

The Maroons would make the trip south to face Radford University in both teams season opener. The Highlanders out-shot Roanoke en route to an 8-0, season opening win.
