    The Roanoke College Athletic Department announced their 2020-21 award winners on Monday afternoon. The announcement of the four awards comes after an unprecedented season that would see all sports competing, in condensed schedules, over a three and a half month period due to the pandemic.
  • Bailey Named All State 1st Team

    The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) named the college division Volleyball All State team on Thursday morning. Linsey Bailey was once again named to the VaSID All State 1st team.
  • Bailey and Clemmer Return To All ODAC Teams

    When the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released their volleyball all conference awards, Linsey Bailey and Kennedy Clemmer were once again honored as members of the All ODAC teams.
  • Roanoke Falls To Bridgewater Rally

    The 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Volleyball Tournament got under way on Wednesday. The fourth seeded Maroons hosted the #5 Bridgewater Eagles at the Cregger Center. These two teams met back on March 27th when Roanoke came away with the 3-1 victory. Roanoke took a pair of close sets on their way to 2-0 advantage. However, the Eagles would use 24 assisted and two solo blocks to mount a rally to force a fifth set. Bridgewater got off to a quick start and never looked back as the complete the comeback to advance with the 3-2 ODAC win.
  • Maroons Fall In Regular Season Finale

    Roanoke hosted Virginia Wesleyan in their final Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) regular season match. The Maroons came into the matchup with the Marlins with seeding for the upcoming ODAC Tournament on the line. RC won the first set, but the Marlins rallied to take the next three sets and the match, 3-1.
  • Another Comeback Win For Roanoke

    Roanoke was on the road for the second time in as many days as they rallied from an 0-2 hole against Randolph last night for the 3-2 win. Friday would see Roanoke travel to Randolph-Macon for a match with the Yellow Jackets. Like yesterday, the Maroons would find themselves down, 2-1, but a 26-24 fourth set win would force a decisive, fifth set. With the set tied at 10-10, four consecutive Maroon points would propel Roanoke to a 15-12 win to take the match.  
  • Maroons Complete Comeback At Randolph

    Roanoke traveled to Lynchburg to face Randolph College on Thursday night. The WildCats took the first two sets before Roanoke rallied to take the third and fourth sets to tie the match at 2-2. In the fifth and decisive set, Roanoke would race out to a 6-2 advantage and never look back as they took the finale 15-6 to complete the 3-2, come from behind, win
  • Roanoke Picks Up Two Wins At Tri-Match

    The Roanoke College volleyball team hosted an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) tri-match on Saturday afternoon when they welcomed Bridgewater and Shenandoah to the Cregger Center. The Maroons prevailed in a hard fought, 3-1, win over the Eagles before completing the day 2-0 with a 3-0 sweep of the Hornets.
  • Tightly Contested Match Goes To Generals

    Roanoke traveled to Lexington on Sunday afternoon for a match with the undefeated Generals of Washington and Lee. The home team would take the opener before Roanoke tied it a set apiece. However, the Generals would take the next two sets for the 3-1 ODAC win.
  • Roanoke Sweeps Wasps In ODAC Play

    Roanoke played host to Emory & Henry in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match on Thursday night. It was the first match this season for the Maroons on their home court in the Cregger Center. Roanoke would sweep E&H, 3-0, picking up their second conference win of the season.
  • Roanoke Splits Opening Tri-Match

    Roanoke volleyball traveled to Harrisonburg as they opened the 2020-21 season with a tri-match against Lynchburg and Eastern Mennonite. The Maroons rallied from an 0-2 hole to force a fifth set against the hornets, however, Lynchburg used an 8-2 run to take the finale. Match two would see Roanoke even their record at 1-1 with a straight sets sweep of the Royals.
  • 2020-21 Fall Sport Schedules

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released their 2020-21 Fall Sport conference schedules on Thursday afternoon. The schedules for the team sports of men's & women's soccer, field hockey, and volleyball have been released as approved by the ODAC President's Council.
  • ODAC Releases Plan For Spring Competition

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced their plan for the return to competition for the Spring of 2021. Tuesday afternoon the league office announced that conference play is slotted to begin January 23rd.
  • Update On Fall 2020 Athletics At Roanoke College

    Roanoke College Director of Athletics Scott Allison announced Tuesday that fall and winter sport competition will be postponed through the end of the 2020 calendar year (December 31).
