    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced the 2019 All ODAC Volleyball Teams over the weekend after the finals of the conference tournament. Sophomore Linsey Bailey was named to the first team while first-year libero Kennedy Clemmer received third team honors.

    RC made the trip to Virginia Beach to face Va. Wesleyan in the quarterfinal round of the 2019 ODAC Volleyball Championships on Wednesday night. The Marlins defeated the Maroons, 3-0, to advance in the championship tournament.

    The Roanoke College volleyball team stepped out of conference as they traveled to Mary Baldwin looking for consecutive road wins. After sweeping Randolph on Tuesday, the Maroons repeated the feat against the Squirrels, earning the 3-0 victory.

    Roanoke College traveled to Lynchburg to face a Randolph College team that had won three of their previous five ODAC matches. After winning two close sets, the Maroons cruised to a third set win and a sweep of the WildCats.

    For the third time this week, the Roanoke volleyball team would see their home match go to a fifth, and decisive, set. After a victory over Methodist and a loss to Bridgewater earlier in the week, the Maroons once again went to a fifth set as they came up just short with a 2-3 loss to Meredith College.

    Roanoke welcomed undefeated Bridgewater to the Cregger Center on Wednesday night. The Eagles raced out to a 2-0 advantage before the Maroons would rally to tie the match and force a fifth set. Despite an early edge, the Maroons couldn't stop a late BC surge as the Eagles took the match, 3-2.

    The first of back-to-back home matches for the Maroons was a visit from Methodist on Tuesday night. The two teams traded sets, 2-2, leading to a deciding fifth frame. Roanoke pulled away late for the 15-8 match clinching win.

    The Roanoke College volleyball team looked to win in their ODAC debut at Virginia Wesleyan. The Maroons took the first set, but the Marlins would sweep the next three for the conference win.

    The 209 Roanoke College Maroon Classic volleyball tournament came to a close on Saturday afternoon. After a 2-0 Friday, the Maroons were able to complete the sweep with wins over Piedmont and Greensboro.

    Friday marked the first day of the 2019 Maroon Classic. Roanoke would play a pair of matches looking to improve on their early 1-3 record. A 3-1 win over Mary Baldwin got the tournament off to a good start in advance of a 3-0 sweep against Maryville in the nightcap.

    the second day of the 25th Annual Cougar Classic, hosted by Averett University, would see the Maroons earn a split in their two matches. Roanoke defeated the host Cougars (3-1) before falling to William Peace in the finale (0-3).
  • Volleyball Opens 2019 At Cougar Classic
    August 30, 2019
    The Roanoke volleyball team traveled to Danville to compete in the 25 Annual Cougar Classic. The Maroons would open the season against Bob Jones University before turning around and doing battle with Southern Virginia. After falling in a hard fought, four set, match with the Bruins, Roanoke would see their record fall to 0-2 with a straight sets loss to the Knights.
