Peter Smith, Fr., Roanoke, Va. Roanoke College was the only Division III team in the Golden Bear Classic, hosted by West Virginia Tech. Peter finished 8th, with a time of 12:58.20. Peter's brother Tim ran for Maroons from 2010 to 2012, earning a trip to the NCAA Division III National Meet in his senior season. Tim serves as an assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach for the Maroons, specializing in distance events. |
Linsey Bailey, Fr., Outside Hitter Fincastle, Va. Linsey put together a consistently strong week to help Roanoke to a 3-2 overall showing that included a 3-1 mark at the 2018 Maroons Classic. Bailey was named to the All-Tournament Team after collecting 56 kills and 38 digs over the four matches, accounting for the bulk of her 71-kill 49-dig week. |
