The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced their men's and women's All State teams and awards over the past two days. Roanoke College swept the major men's awards as well as the women's swimmer of the Year. In total, 20 different swimmers were named to the first or second team as well as winning four of the six major awards.
Kimberly Large was named Women's State Swimmer of the Year after a season that saw the sophomore claim ODAC Women's Swimmer of the Meet. On the men's side, Roanoke swept the three major awards. Connor Kinkema put a wrap on his record setting season by claiming the Men's State Swimmer of the Year after earning the Swimmer of the Meet honors at the ODAC Championships. Freshman Jacon Winn was named the top newcomer with the Men's State Rookie Swimmer of the Year award and after claiming Roanoke's first ever ODAC Championship in swimming, head coach Scott Thacker was named Men's State Swim Coach of the Year.
