One of the top goalies to ever wear a Roanoke College women's lacrosse uniform, Ostar completed her playing career in Salem with 690 career saves, which is second on the all-time list. In addition, she is second on the save percentage list as well, having stopped over 62 percent of the shots she faced. A First Team All-South Region selection in 1993, 1994, and 1995, Ostar garnered Honorable Mention All-American status as a junior in 1994 and a year later was named a First Team All-American.
A part of two Old Dominion Athletic Conference championships, Ostar was an All-ODAC selection in each of her final three seasons with the team and as a senior was named the conference's Player of the Year.
