Distinguished herself as one of Roanoke's top female student-athletes.
In 1986, Zimmerman led her team in both scoring and rebounding, earning All-ODAC and All-ODAC Tournament honors. That same year, she was selected to the Kodak All-South team and Fast Break Magazine's first-team All-America College Division squad.
Zimmerman earned All-ODAC status three times in her career and was chosen the 1985 ODAC Player of the Year.
