The Lead: No. 23 Roanoke dropped a 10-4 decision to Lehman Tuesday evening in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
How it Happened
- Roanoke got three hits from Sean Guida and two hits, including a solo home run from Will Decker.
- Jeffrey Ledesma had three hits and three RBI for the Lighting. Chris Lopez had two hits, one of which was a three-run home run in what proved to be a six run ninth inning for Lehman.
- Emmanuel Velasque went seven innings to pick up the win. He allowed seven hits, struck out five and walked two.
- Lehman was up 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth when Roanoke rallied to tie the game following RBI doubles from Collier Donald and Craig Kiley.
- Lehman came right back in the next half inning and pushed across two runs to go up 4-2 and then tacked on six runs in the top of the ninth to put the game away.
Up Next: Roanoke will be back in action tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. when it faces Dean.
