No. 23 Roanoke Powers its Way to a 14-6 Win Over Mount Aloysius

The Lead: Roanoke belted five home runs including three from Collier Donald on its way to a 14-6 win over Mount Aloysius on Thursday afternoon in Myrtle Beach.

How it Happened

  • Donald finished with three hits, all three homeruns and drove in six runners on the day. Sean Guida recorded five hits for the Maroons, scoring two runs and driving in one.
  • Donald's three home runs ties a school record. Kirby Hamilton hit three homers versus Emory & Henry in 2003. It is also the first three home run game by an ODAC player since 2010. 
  • Will Black had a home run for the Maroons and he also scored a pair of runs. Eli Sumpter added four hits for the Maroons as well.  Craig Kiley also had a home run for the Maroons.
  • Cameron Eck tossed five innings of flawless relief to lead the Maroons on the mound. Eck did not allow a hit and struck out two for the Maroons.  Eck, along with Diego Meneses and Kenny Mackovic allowed just one hit and two runs in 7.2 innings of work out of the bullpen for RC.
