SALEM, Va. – Roanoke College outfielder Sean Guida has been named Second-Team All-South Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Tuesday.
Guida is currently hitting .343 on the season which is tied for tops on the Roanoke team. His 74 hits is the most in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, while his 54 runs scored is second in the league and his 10 triples is second most in the league and third most in Division III. His 105 total bases is third most in the league and his 17 stolen bases ranks third.
Guida and the Maroons captured their first ODAC Championship with Guida being named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. RC then won the NCAA South Regional on Sunday and Guida was named to the All-Regional Team.
The Maroons open the 2017 Division III College World Series on Friday at 2:15 EST against Oswego State in Appleton, Wisc.
