Salem, Va. – Roanoke's Ben West has been named the ODAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week as the league announced its weekly awards on Monday.

West, a junior from Chapel Hill, N.C., twirled a gem in game two of a doubleheader sweep of Eastern Mennonite. West went seven strong innings and gave up just three hits. He didn't allow a run and walked three while fanning seven. West set the tone early, striking out four of the first five Royals he faced. He also worked around a pair of Maroon errors in the fourth inning to keep the shutout bid alive.

West is 3-1overall. He owns a 1.83 earned run average with 21 strikeouts in 19.2 innings of work covering five total appearances.
