The Lead: Cody Shell hit a walk-off single to score Will Smith in the bottom of the 11th to earn the win in game one.
How it Happened:
- Smith and Scott Ellis singled with one out in the bottom of the 11th to set up Shell for the walk-off and give RC the win.
- The game was scoreless through the first four innings before Josh Duimstra had a two RBI single to give H-SC a 2-0 lead.
- In the sixth inning Tyler Blevins singled home Andrew Kasiski and Ryan Clawson delivered a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0 Tigers.
- Smith got RC on the board in the seventh with an RBI double that plated Matt Wojciechowski and make it a 4-1 game.
- Will Salva brought RC to within 4-3 in the eighth when he singled to right field to score both Shell and Gavin Kandrick.
- In the Maroon ninth, Smith walked to open the inning, moved to second on a wild pitch, went to third on an Ellis bunt and scored on a wild pitch to tie the game.
- Kevin Ledford (1-0) threw two innings of perfect relief to pick up the win for Roanoke. Johnathan Triesler (0-1) took the loss for H-SC.
- Shell had three hits for RC, while Ellis, Salva, and Smith each had two hits.

Location: Salem, Va.
The Lead: Roanoke scored seven runs in the first inning en route to a 10-2 ODAC sweep of H-SC.
How it Happened
- H-SC led 1-0 in the first inning when RC scored seven runs on six hits in its first at-bat.
- Salva and Gavin Kandrick had back-to-back RBI doubles to make it 3-1. Jack Howard scored Kandrick on a sacrifice fly to make it 4-1.
- Sam Watson had an RBI single before a two-out triple from Scott Ellis scored Watson and Will Smith to close out the scoring in the first.
- Roanoke tacked on two more runs in the fifth inning with a two-run home run from Smith to push the lead to 9-1.
- Smith finished 4-for-4 to lead RC. Will Salva and Kandrick also each had two hits.
- Casey Rosenthal (2-0) went 2.1 innings in relief to pick up the win, while Cam Eck (1) tossed the final 3.1 innings to pick up the save.
