The Basics
Score: Roanoke 5, Emory & Henry 1
Records: Roanoke 10-10 / 7-1 ODAC | Emory & Henry 3-18 / 0-8 ODAC
Location: Salem, Va.
The Lead: Cale Agee had five RBI in a 5-1 Roanoke win over Emory & Henry on Tuesday.
How it Happened:
- Dean Hermanson was hit by a pitch to start the second inning, went to third on a Jack Howard double and scored on a Agee single that made it 2-0.
- Roanoke loaded the bases with one out in the third inning before Agee doubled to score Will Salva and Will Merriken to make it 4-0.
- After Emory & Henry made it 4-1, RC would push across another run on an Agee sacrifice fly to make it 5-1.
- That would be all the runs the RC pitching staff would need. Connor Chiulli started and went five innings to pick up the win and improve to 3-0. Chris Dudley came in and gave up two hits in two innings, while Casey Rosenthal pitched the final two innings to seal the win.
- Agee was 2-for-5 and Howard finished with two hits as well for Roanoke.
- Andrew Francisco finished with two hits for E&H. Zach Shepherd (0-2) started and went two innings, giving up four runs.
