Score: Roanoke 6, William Peace 5 (10 Innings)

The Lead: William Peace used a four-run, sixth inning to take a 5-2 advantage. Roanoke got single runs in the seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth to complete the late inning rally, taking the opener, 6-5. Game two would see the Pacers score the first six runs of the game. Roanoke would add three late runs but William Peace salvaged a split with a 6-3 win.
How it Happened:
- With the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, and the score tied at 1-1, Mason Staz singled home Will Smith to give RC their first lead of the afternoon.
- However, the bottom of the sixth would see the Pacers put up four runs, capped by a Keith Gonzalez, pinch-hit, single to center.
- After plating runs in the seventh and eighth, Carson McCusker came off the bench to deliver a game tying single, scoring Smith.
- In the top of the 10th, a Carter Plunkett single scored Jeb Byerley for the game winning run.
- Kevin Ledford pitched the final two innings giving up a pair of hits and striking out four in picking up the win. Caleb Lingenfelter got the start, going five innings, two earned runs and seven strikeouts. Will Merriken went 3-5 while Smith went 2-4 with two runs scored. Six different Maroons recorded an RBI.

Score: Roanoke 3, William Peace 6
Records: Maroons 1-1 | Pacers 3-1

How it Happened:
- The Pacers would get single runs in each of the first three innings as Roanoke would give up four hits and allow six bases on balls.
- Three unearned runs in the fifth would push the William Peace advantage to 6-0.
- McCusker would plate Plunkett with a sac fly in the top of the sixth to get the Maroons on the board.
- One inning later, Plunkett delivered a two-run single to center to plate Tyler De Meo and Cale Agee, but the Maroons would be shut down the final two innings.
- Alex Markus got the loss and was saddled with the loss. Plunkett was 4-5 with a run and two RBI while De Meo and Agee each went 1-3.
Up Next: Roanoke to host Christopher Newport next Sunday in a double header. First pitch is set for 11:00am in Salem.
