Pat March named ODAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Senior attack Pat March (Glen Burnie, MD, Mt. St. Joseph)was named ODAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week announced this afternoon. It is the third time that the Maryland native has earned the weekly honor.
A three-time All-ODAC selection, March scored nine goals and dished out two assists in wins over Kenyon and Hampden-Sydney last week. He tallied five goals and two assists for seven points in a 24-9 win over the Lords last Wednesday (3/17) and scored four goals in a 22-10 victory over the Tigers last Saturday.
For the season, the 2009 USILA Honorable Mention All-American has totaled 20 goals and eight assists for 28 points. He also has scored a team-high six man-up and two man-down goals, including two game-winners. Of his 38 shots on the season, 25 have been on goal for a .658 percentage. In the win over Hampden-Sydney, he became only the eighth player at Roanoke with over 200 points and his 128 career goals rank him sixth on that list.
The Maroons, ranked #7 in this week's USILA Div. III Top-20 poll, is currently 7-1 overall, 2-0 in ODAC play. They will take on Williams, which received votes for the second-straight week, on Wednesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at Kerr Stadium.
