When the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced their 2021 All American awards, Roanoke College senior George Gilbert was named Honorable Mention at the midfield by the organization.

In May, Gilbert was named a member of the All ODAC second team as a midfielder, the first all conference honor of Gilbert's career at Roanoke. This season, Gilbert scored 23 goals (20th in the ODAC) to go with six assists while starting all 11 games. His five goals while a man up were tops on the team and 6th in the ODAC.

In just three seasons, Gilbert has amassed 36 goals with 15 assists while over 50% of his total shots were placed on goal. Roanoke has an overall record of 21-15 in the past three shortened seasons.
