Robbie Lentine Named ODAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

FOREST – Roanoke College sophomore, Robbie Lentine, was named ODAC Player of the Week, announced Monday.  Lentine is the Maroons' first ODAC Player of the Week since Drew Claytor won the award on October 17th, 2011.

Lentine, a sophomore from Raymond, ME, earned a spot on the Shellenberger Classic All-Tournament Team after notching a pair of goals in the Maroons 2-0 week.  On Saturday, he opened Roanoke's account in the 15th minute as he scored the opening goal off a pass from Patrick Bain in the Maroons 2-0 triumph over Marymount (Va.).  Lentine provided the finishing touch in Roanoke's 3-2 double-overtime triumph over John Carroll.  In the 101st minute, he slotted home a pass from Tyler Carbaugh to end the contest and move Roanoke to 4-0 on the early season.  Lentine leads the Maroons in scoring with three goals this season, totaling a team high six points.

The Maroons return to action on Saturday, September 14th as they travel to Ashland to take on Randolph-Macon in Roanoke's ODAC opener.  That contest is slated for a 12:00 PM start.
