Men's Soccer Moves Up to 17th in D3Soccer.com Poll

The Roanoke College men's soccer team is ranked 17th in the latest D3soccer.com poll, announced Tuesday, September 17th.

Roanoke played just one game in the past week, as they defeated Randolph-Macon 5-4 on Saturday, September 14th.  The high scoring contest saw four goals scored in the first 12 minutes of the game.  Brian White scored Roanoke's two first half goals off assists from Tyler Carbaugh.  In the second half, Marc Dinkel, Garret Eldridge scored in the first 10 minutes of the period.  Carbaugh capped things off with just a minute to play as he scored the game winning goal off of a double assist from Eldridge and Patrick Bain.

Tyler Carbaugh and Robby Lentine top the Maroons in scoring with three goals each, ranking third in the ODAC.  Carbaugh and Marc Dinkel lead the team in assists with three each, which also sits third in the ODAC.  Carbaugh once more ranks among the top in the conference in total points with nine, which is second behind Randolph's Corey Sindle.

The Maroons were not the only Old Dominion Athletic Conference team to receive votes in the poll, as Randolph tallied 13 points.  Roanoke returns to action on Saturday, September 21st as they take on Christopher Newport in non-conference action.  That contest will take place in Kerr Stadium, and has a start time of 7:00 PM.
