How it Happened
  • The Maroons controlled the pace of play in the first-half, outshooting the Quakers 12-3 but were only able to put a pair of those shots on frame.
  • The game remained scoreless until the 79th minute when Tyler Carbaugh served a corner kick into the box. A scrum ensued in front of the net, with Rauf able to bang a shot past Guilford keeper Eric Hayes to give RC the only goal of the match.
  • RC held Guilford to six shots on the night with none of them being on goal. Keeper Cole Sinclair and the Maroon back line helped record the team's fifth shutout of the year.
  • The Maroons got off 20 shots of their own and held a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
  • Rauf's goal was his consecutive game-winner. The sophomore defender scored the only goal of Saturday's match against Bridgewater.
