The Lead: Roanoke held a 22-5 advantage in shots in a 0-0 tie at Stevenson Tuesday night in Owings, Md.
How it Happened:
- Seven of the Maroons' shots and eight corner kicks came in the overtime periods
- Two minutes into the first overtime, Tim Mahabir fired off back-to-back shots that were both blocked by Stevenson defenders
- Roanoke recorded three corner kicks from 93:50 -96:33 but were unable to connect
- Marc Hoppler and Fortune Sibanda each tallied a game-high four shots on the night
- Keeper Nick Tadros only had to make one save on the night while Stevenson's Michael Tringali recorded a dozen
- Roanoke also held a 15-3 advantage in corners over the Mustangs
