The Lead: Maryville notched its 10th win of the season by topping Roanoke 4-0 Wednesday night in men's soccer action.
How it Happened:
- Jackson Goyette attempted to get RC on the board in the opening minute but his shot 26 seconds into the match was turned away by Maryville keeper Ryan Jorgensen.
- Maryville got the only goal it would need just over five minutes into the match when Caleb Lucas made it 1-0.
- The Scots tacked on another goal in the 17th minute of play to make it 2-0 and then would score a pair of goals in the final five minutes of the match to close out the scoring.
- Maryville held a 13-6 edge in shots and 4-3 in corner kicks.
- Nick Tadros made three second-half saves for the Maroons.
Up Next: Roanoke will be back in ODAC play this weekend when it travels to Randolph for a 6:30 p.m. match on Saturday.
