The Short Story: The Roanoke College men's soccer team fell to nationally ranked No. 16 the University of Lynchburg on Saturday evening, 2-0 at Shellenberger Field in Lynchburg.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lynchburg scored early in the first half with a goal by Brennan Lagana at 10:30, putting the Hornets up 1-0. The goal proved to be the game-winner.
- The Hornets added a second goal before halftime at 39:25 to take a 2-0 lead into the intermission.
- Neither team was able to find the back of the goal in the second half despite 10 shots being taken.
