The Lead: The Roanoke College men's and women's swimming teams each picked up a pair of ODAC wins on Saturday at Liberty University. Both teams topped Ferrum, while the women beat Sweet Briar and the men knocked off Hampden-Sydney. The meet was part of the Central Virginia Duals which included Division I members Liberty and Campbell on the women's side.

Women's Highlights

• Reilly Bird set an ODAC season best time of 23.99 in the 50 yard freestyle. She was sixth overall and placed ahead of six DI swimmers. Tessa Kenney (29.01) and Catherine Wilson (28.60) placed 11^th and 12^th, respectively and ahead of all SBC and Ferrum competitors. Bird would go on to place 10^th overall with a 57.94 in the 100 yard freestyle.
• Maggie Riggan's time of 2:27.87 in the 200 yard IM was tops in the dual meet and eighth overall, while Francis Cifuentes touched the wall in 1:04.68 in the 100 yard backstroke.
• Hannah Sells was top RC finisher in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:32.29 and recorded a time of 11:35.28 in the 1000 yard freestyle.
• Kenny teamed up with Wilson, Riggan Coburn to take the top spot in the dual meet in the 4x50 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:51.09, while the team of Bird, Sarah Virginia Scott, Sells and Cifuentes placed tops in the dual meet with a time of 4:16.15 in the 4x100 yard relay. 

Men's Highlights

• The Maroons recorded 12 first-place finishes against the Tigers and Panthers led by Nick McGrath who touched the wall first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.65, the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.76 and the 100 yard freestyle (49.91).
• McGrath, Logan Cale, Ethan Gordon and David Adarkwah opened the scoring for the Maroons by winning the 4x50 medley relay with a time of 1:42.67.
• Gordon was first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:05.11 and tops in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:19.44.
• Tanner DeBord's time of 1:52.66 was tops in the 200 yard freestyle and he was second in the 100 yard free with a time of 50.08.
• Cale was first in the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.16) and Adarkwah was second with a time of 1:02.60.
• Jacob David had a first-place finish in the 400 IM (4:43.90) and was second in the 500 yard freestyle (5:15.95) 
• DeBord, David, Jorge Jara and Adarkwah finished with an 4x50 freestyle relay time 1:32.87 which was good for first-place.

Up Next: Both teams will be now off until January with the women back in action first when they take on Hollins on the 13^th.
