The Lead: Liberty University played host to a tri-meet between Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Miligan on Saturday afternoon. The Maroon women bested the Miligan, 133-129, but fell to the Hornets, 129-133, earning a split. On the men's side, RC downed Lynchburg 185-77, but fell in a close on to Miligan 125-137.

Women's highlights:

• Grace Fountain won the longest event of the meet with a time of 11:12.83 in the 1000 Freestyle.
• Freshman Susanna Price had a pair of wins and a runner-up finish in her three individual events. Price finished 1^st in the 200 Freestyle (1:57.49) and picked up another win in the 500 Freestyle (5:15.44), whiling posting a runner-up time of 2:11.46 in the 200 Butterfly.
• The reigning ODAC Women's Swimmer of the Week Lily Mullens added another win in her first-year campaign with a time of 55.06 in the 100 Freestyle. Mullens returned in the meet with a runner-up effort in the 100 Backstroke (1:00.49), just .66 of a second ahead of Maddie Andrews.
• Maria Vinson won the final individual event of the afternoon, the 200 Individual Medley (IM) with a time of 2:16.04.
• Mullens and Price teamed with Hannah Zhang and Elizabeth Roberts to finish the meet with a winning time of 3:40.00 in the 400 Freestyle relay.

Men's highlights:

• Xavier Williams posted the fastest time of the meet when he touched 1^st in the 50 Freestyle in a blistering 22.04.
• The 500 Freestyle would see Ethan Brewer best the field when he touched in 4:50.72. Brewer earned a runner-up in the 1000 Freestyle (10:01.77) just out-touching Josh Rauch by .06 of a second.
• Logan Deal won the 200 IM in 1:59.61 while earning second-place points in both the 100 Breaststroke (59.17) and the 200 Breaststroke (2:12.47).
• A pair of runner-up efforts by Ben Tate in the 200 Freestyle (1:47.95) and the 200 Butterfly (1:58.28).
• Erik Kratzer garnered runner-up points with a time of 53.00 in the 100 Butterfly while Richie Evans posted a second place finish in the 100 Freestyle, 48.06.

Up next:  Roanoke will not return to the pool until 2022 when they travel to North Carolina for a tri-meet with UNC Pembroke and Catawba. The meet is scheduled for January 15^th.
