The Short Story: The Roanoke College men's swim team earned a dual win against Div. II Lenoir Rhyne in their final tune-up for the 2023 ODAC Swimming Championships, 138-117.
TOP FINISHES
- In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, the team of Davis Wheeler, Logan Deal, Jason Brooks, and Xavier Williams finished second in a time of 1:37.24.
- In the 100 Yard Back, Wheeler touched the wall second in a time of 56.54.
- In the 1000 Yard Free, Ethan Brewer won with a time of 9:55.74.
- Chris Snow (1:01.33) and Tommy Nichols (1:03.30) were first and second in the 100 Yard Back.
- Williams was second in the 50 Yard Free with a time of 22.36.
- Roanoke took home the top three times in the 100 Yard Free with Williams (48.36), Brooks (49.15), and Brewer (50.55) finishing one through three, respectively.
- Wheeler was the runner-up in the 200 Yard Back in a time of 2:06.99.
- Deal won the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:14.29.
- The Maroons claimed the top three spots in their second event of the day, the 500 Yard Free, with Josh Rauch (4:55.43), Jacob Ambrose (5:11.96), and Jacob Cole (5:13.53).
- Brooks secured the win in the 100 Yard Fly with a time of 52.81.
- Snow won his second event of the day in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:02.33.
- Brooks, Dyllan Hartman, Deal, and Williams were second in the 200 Yard Free Relay to close out the dual with a time of 1:28.66
