Men's Tennis Edged by Guilford, 5-4
SALEM - The Roanoke College men's tennis team was narrowly edged by Guilford College on Friday, 5-4 in ODAC action. The Maroons have a record of 9-6; 5-4 ODAC, while the Quakers are now 6-7; 4-4 in the ODAC.

James Lee and Matt Kessler won in #1 doubles, 8-6 over Trevor Cox and Erik Meiler. In #3 doubles, Ian Webster and Lewis Young also were victorious, defeating Byron Hamilton and Mark Cheong 8-4.

In singles action, recent ODAC Player of the Week, James Lee, fell at #1 singles to Turner Votipka, 6-4; 6-3. In #2 singles, Matt Kessler defeated Cox in three sets, 6-4; 5-7; 6-2. Roanoke's final win of the day came from Webster, who defeated John Brvenik 6-0; 7-5 in #5 singles.

The Maroons return to action on Wednesday, April 17th, as they take on Guilford College at the Elizabeth Campus Courts. That contest is scheduled for a 4:00 PM start.
