Men's Tennis Defeats Emory & Henry 7-2 on Wednesday
SALEM – The Roanoke College men's tennis team defeated Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponent Emory & Henry on Wednesday. The Maroons now have a record of 6-5 with a 2-5 record in the ODAC, while the Wasps are 3-12 overall, 1-7 in the ODAC.

The Maroons went 2-1 in doubles action to start the match. Roanoke fell at the #1 position, but made up for it at #2 and #3. At #2 doubles, Chris Miglarese and Matt Kessler defeated Kamil Aliev and Luke Funkhouser 8-5. Lewis Young and Chris Teeple topped Jonathan Romano and John Hanlon 8-3 at #3 doubles.

Joey Ross went to a third set against Alex Minastan but picked up the victory 6-0; 2-6 (10-5). Jacob Morris bested Aliev 6-1, 6-0. Miglarese picked up a win at #4 singles, defeating Romano 6-0, 6-2. Chris Teeple rounded the match out for the Maroons at the #6 spot, 7-5, 7-6.

The Maroons are back in action on Thursday, April 9th as they take on Lynchburg College at the Elizabeth Campus Courts. That match is scheduled for a 3:00 PM start.
