Men's Tennis Defeats Shenandoah 8-1 on Saturday Afternoon
SALEM – The Roanoke College men's tennis team defeated Shenandoah 8-1 on Saturday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup.

The men swept the doubles portion of the match, winning #1-#3 doubles on Saturday.  Joey Ross and Jose Alvarado topped Steven Baker and Jesse Ewing 9-8 (7-3) in the #1 doubles spot.  Jacob Morris and Chris Teeple were victorious at #2 doubles, defeating Blake Sharp and Kelly Sykes, 8-4.  Holden Branham and Matt Delgrecco won #3 doubles, besting Zach O'Neal and Matt Hwang 8-3.

Joey Ross defeated Steven Baker, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) in the #1 singles spot on Saturday afternoon.  Jacob Morris also won at #2 singles, defeating Jesse Ewing, 6-2, 6-1.  Matt Delgreco picked up a win at #3 singles, 6-3, 6-3 over Blake Sharp.  Jose Alvarado won at #5 singles in three sets, while Tim Calame won at #6 singles over Zach O'Neal, 6-3, 6-1.

The Maroons will be back in action on Sunday, March 22nd as they play host to Guilford College at 1:00 PM.
