EMORY – The Roanoke College men's tennis team defeated Emory & Henry on the road on Monday evening, 5-0.  The Maroons now have a record of 7-7, 3-4 in ODAC play, while the Wasps are now 5-8, 2-5 in the ODAC.

The Maroons swept the doubles competition on Monday.  Matt Kessler and Jacob Morris defeated Kamil Aliev and Luke Funkhouser, 8-3 in #1 doubles.  In #2 doubles, Joseph Ross and Jose Alvarodo topped John Dalton Ferguson and Dillan Dodson 8-5.  Matt Del Greco and Holden Branham also picked up an 8-5 win at #3 doubles over Alex Polydoroff and Jonathan Romano.

In a rain delayed contest, the Maroons only needed two singles wins to pick up the overall victory.  Those wins came at #2 singles and #6 singles.  At the #2 spot, Matt Kessler defeated Kamil Aliev, 6-2, 6-1.  Tim Calame won at #6 singles, winning against Eric Logan, 6-2, 6-1.

The Maroons return to action on Tuesday, April 14^th as they travel to Hollins to take on Lynchburg College.  That match is scheduled for a 7:30 PM start.
