The Lead: Roanoke topped Shenandoah 8-1 in ODAC Men's Tennis action on Sunday afternoon in Salem.
How it Happened:
- Roanoke took a commanding lead early on after sweeping doubles action. Jose Alvarado and Holden Branham topped SU's Matt Hwang and Bryan Harris 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, while Matt Friedlander and Chris Teeple won at No. 2 and Bill Goins and Jack Doriss won at No. 3.
- RC won five of the six singles matches led by Jose Alvarado who won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles over Zach Frack.
- Friedlander, Teeple, Goins and Neel Shah all notched singes wins for the Maroons as well.
Up Next: Roanoke will be in action Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at home against Bridgewater.
