The Lead: Roanoke won four singles matches to take a 6-3 decision over York on Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened
- Roanoke took an early 1-0 lead when Alston Martin and Michael Morrell topped Josiah Forry and Michael Spagnoli 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
- York won at No. 2 doubles before RC took a 2-1 lead following a win at No. 1 doubles by Grayson White and Jack Fishwick who won 8-7 over Sam Innerst and Joel Hess.
- Fishwick beat Hess 6-2, 6-1 in No. 2 singles to give RC a 3-1 lead.
- York tied the match at 3-3, before Jack Doriss beat Lukas Olson 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and Morrell closed out the match with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 victory over Spagnoli at No. 6 singles.
