The Lead: Roanoke records seven top-ten finishes at the Liberty Collegiate Friday and Saturday in Lynchburg, Va. 

Highlights:

• Kaleb Bland kicked off the competition with an eighth place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.98m during Friday's field events. David Flowers took fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 45.06m.
• Claire Aurand recorded two top-ten finishes, taking fifth in the 200m with a time of 25.50 and ninth in the 100m with a time of 12.77.
• Mara Briggs recorded the top finish of the meet with a third place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m.
• Brynn MacDougall clocked a 59.14 in the 400m good for eighth place while Julian Edwards clocked a 51.48 on the men's side in the 400m for 16th.
• Colin Brennan (4:18.61), Athey Crump (4:19.90), Nathaniel Willis (4:22.52), Howard Daniels (4:24.64) and Colin Wall (4:36.92) all recorded personal best in the 1500m headed by Brennan with a 26th place finish.
• Tyler Barrett placed ninth in the 5000m with a time of 16:03.54 and Ryan Wilson took 11th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:51.73.
• With a time of 1:13.12, Brittany Mallette earned a 15th place finish in the 400m hurdles.
