Meet: WildCat Invitational

The Lead: Roanoke took part in the WildCat Invitational this weekend in its final tune up prior to the ODAC Championships.
Highlights:
- Janya Jean-Jules got the Maroons going on Friday with a win in the hammer throw with a personal record toss of 42.85m.
- On Saturday, Mara Briggs won the high jump with a mark of 1.59 m / 5'2.5."
- In the men's 400m hurdles, Mykal Dawkins took second-place with a time of 59.20, while Kevin Waterman finished second in his first ever 400m, clocking a time of 52.25.
- David Flowers placed second in the men's hammer throw with a toss of 44.91m, while Dillon Kopec finished in third-place in the men's pole vault with a 3.86m clearance.
- Brynn MacDougal finished second in the 100m with a time of 13.28 and Caity Ashely's time of 1:15.12 in the 800m was good for second-place.
- Brittany Mallette finished third in the women's 400m hurdles with a personal record time of 1:12.19.
- Lindsey Baxter placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 2.95m - 9'8", while Lexi Denning (30.16m) and Grace Carll (25.42m) finished first and third, respectively in the javelin.
Up Next: Roanoke will be off until April 21-22 when it takes part in the 2017 ODAC Championships at Washington and Lee.
