The Basics:

Event: Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic Invitational

Location: University of Lynchburg

The Lead: The Roanoke College outdoor track & field team traveled to the University of Lynchburg to compete in the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic. Athletes from 22 different teams and unattached athletes competed in the one-day event.

Men's Highlights:

  • The Men's 4X100M Relay of Troy Crawley, Xavier O'Brien, Blake Morin, and Sam Crawford posted the top overall time of 42.34 seconds. 
  • Crawford posted a first place finish in the Men's 400m dash crossing the line with a of 48.87 seconds. He would later set a personal record in the Men's 200m dash with a blazing time of 21.82 seconds. That time is second in the ODAC and 17 nationally.
  • In the Men's 5k Cooper Neeble and Peter Smith would post a top 10 finish. Neeble would cross the line finishing eight with a time of 15:15.60. Smith would finish a couple of seconds behind Neeble with a time of 15:25.70 finishing tenth.
  • The Men's 4x400M Relay team of O'Brien, Aaron Rogers, Crawley, and Cameron Harris finished 5th with a time of 3:32.99.

Women's Highlights:

  • Hannah Koepfinger lead the way for the Womens' team.  She started her day earning a top eight finish in the Women's Long Jump Invitational section going 5.08 meters. On the track she posted two personal records starting in the 100M Hurdles going 15.81 seconds which was third overall. In the 400M Hurdles should would cross the line first at 1:05.23 seconds. That time is currently first in the ODAC and 12th nationally.
  • Savannah Gheen finished second in the Women's LJ open section with a personal record of 5.16 meters.
  • Emily Ball and Lily Lippert posted top 5 finishes in the Women's 400m dash. Ball would cross the line finishing second with a time of 59.54 seconds while, Lippert would finish fifth with a time of 1:00.5. Lippert also finished ninth in the Women's 200m dash with a time of 26.67.
  • Grace Fowler finished fourth in the Women's Shot Put with a distance of 10.99 meters.
  • In the Women's Hammer throw Caitlin Culhane lead the way with a sixth place finish with a personal record distance of 40.94 meters. Teammate Abbey Gajtkowski also finished in the top 10 with a distance of 36.58 meters.
  • Allison Barthol posted a top five finish in the Women's 800m with a personal record time of 2:26.36. 
  • Cammi Winston would post a top five finishes and personal records in the Women's High Jump clearing 1.50 meters and Women's 100M Hurdles crossing the line in 16.00 seconds.
