Neeble Leads Five On All State Teams

Five Maroons named VaSID All State

The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) released their All State Outdoor Track & Field teams on Tuesday afternoon. Distance runner Cooper Neeble earned first team honors as one of five Maroons honored by the organization. Sam Crawford, Troy Crawley, Blake Morinand Xavier O'Brien joined Neeble on the All State teams.

Neeble earned first team honors after a season that saw him win the 3000 Steeplechase at the 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships with a time of 9:34.92. For his efforts, the sophomore from Christiansburg was named 1st team All ODAC.

Crawford earned a pair of 2nd team honors as a sprinter. After earning a berth at the NCAA DIII Championships in the 400m, Crawford was named 2nd team All State. The sophomore was named 2nd team All ODAC after posting the second best times, 200m and 400m, in the conference this past season.

the Roanoke College 4x100 relay team was named 2nd team All State. Crawford teamed with Crawley, Morin, and O'Brien to set a school record this season when they posted a final time of 42.06 at North Carolina A&T in mid-May.
