Event: Dr. Jack M. Tom's Alumni Invitational (University of Lynchburg) Highlights

Location: Lynchburg, Va.

The Lead: The Roanoke College men's and women's track teams traveled to two different locations over the weekend with trips to Lynchburg and Bridgewater. The teams would compete at the Dr. Jack M. Tom's Alumni Invitational (University of Lynchburg) and the Doc Jopson Alumni Invitational (Bridgewater College).

Dr. Jack M. Tom's Alumni Invitational:

• Men's 4x100m relay of Xavier O'Brien, Blake Morin, Brandon Justice, and Brady Fowler won with a time of 42.26 seconds.
• Samuel Crawford wins the Men's 400m dash with a time of 49.49 seconds.  That time is tops in the ODAC and number 14 in DIII.
• Fowler finished 2^nd in the Men's 200m dash with a time of 21.86 seconds which is second in the ODAC and 15^th in DIII.
• Chamberlain Zulauf placed 7^th in the Men's 5000m with a time of 15:31.15.
• Miles Enstrom would place 7^th in the Men's Pole Vault with a height of 3.65m.
• Hannah Koepfinger had three top 8 finishes staring with the Women's Long jump (5.16m) sixth, 100m hurdles (16.03 seconds) seventh, and 400m hurdles (1:06.78) third.
• Savannah Gheen would finish 7^th in the Women's Long Jump with a distance of 5.03m,
• Eleanor Hinckley (PR 25.88 seconds) and Haylee Gamble (25.95 seconds) finished 5^th and 6^th in the Women's 200m dash.
• Hinckley(1.50m) and Kaitlyn Nguyen (1.50m) would finish 5^th and 6^th in the Women's High Jump.
• Gamble (1:01.79) and Lauren Henson (PR 1:01.22) would finish 5^th and 8^th in the 400m dash.

Doc Jopson Alumni Invitational:

• Grace Fowler finished in second place in the Discus (31.53m), then finishing fourth in the Shot Put with a distance of 10.98m.
• Abbey Gajtkowski would place second in the Hammer with a throw of 39.88m and would also finish fourth in the Women's Discus with a PR throw of 31.33m.
• Clare Kinney finished third in Discus with a PR of 31.37m.  She would also place fifth in the Shot Put with a distance of 10.62m
• Elisabeth Cullen had a third-place finish in the Javelin with a distance of 29.88m and finished fifth in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 37.67m.
• Caitlin Culhane placed seventh in the Hammer Throw with a distance of 36.14m and eighth in the Javelin with a mark of 25.05m.
• Tiera Hudson would finish seventh in the Shot Put (10.37m) and eighth in the Hammer Throw with a distance of 34.72m.
• Joselyn Struble would finish 5^th in the Hammer Throw with a PR distance of 37.67m.
• Jillian Van Doren would finish 6^th in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 25.05m.

Up Next: The Maroons will travel to High Point University this Friday and Saturday at the HPU Vertklasse Meeting on April 1-2.
