FOREST, Va. -- After winning the pole vault at the 2022 Bast-Cregger Invitational on Saturday, Joseph Eldridge has been named the ODAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office.

Eldridge, a freshman from Chattanooga, Tenn., opened his collegiate career with the win. He led a first-through-fourth finish in the pole vault, clearing the high bar at 4.05 meters (13-3.5) to best teammates Edward Rygalski and Dominic McCombs by 0.15 meters for the event victory. Eldridge's clearance ranks second in the ODAC sits just outside the top-50 in NCAA Division III.
