Highlights:

  • Fowler placed 10th out of 22 runners in the preliminaries of the 100m dash at the Division III outdoor championship meet, producing a time of 10.56 seconds. He missed out on qualifying for Saturday's final by just four-hundredths of a second.
  • The three heat winners and the next five best times all moved on to the final. Greenville's C.J. Anderson grabbed the eighth and final qualifying spot with a mark of 10.52 seconds.
  • Sam Blaskowski of Wisconsin-La Crosse posted the top qualifying time, winning his heat in 10.28 seconds.
  • Fowler had established a new school record in the event earlier this spring, running the 100m in 10.50 seconds at the VertKlasse Meeting in Hight Point, NC.
