NEW ORLEANS — The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced its All-Academic Team and individual All-Academic award winners. Both Roanoke College teams were recognized as was Howard Daniels.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, a program must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or better. RC's men fashion a 3.24 GPA, while the RC women have a 3.27.

Individually, Daniels was recognized on the All-Academic Team. To qualify, honorees must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have finished in the Top 25 percent of the finishers at regionals. Daniels was among 290 men to receive the recognition. Daniels had a 3.4 and is an international relations major.
