The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced their weekly cross country performers of the week on Tuesday afternoon. Roanoke College senior Peter Smith was named Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Last week, the Maroons kicked off the 2021 cross country campaign with a trip to Bridgewater to run in the Eagle XC Challenge. Roanoke would finish second as a team while Smith would win the event individually. The Roanoke native posted a final time of 12:54.2, the only runner in the 46-man field to best the 13 minute mark. It marked the first collegiate victory for Smith as he bested runners from Bridgewater, Christendom, and Mary Baldwin over the 4K course.
