Roanoke Earn Fourth-Straight win against Randolph
SALEM, Va. --- Roanoke defeated Randolph, 77-35 in ODAC action this evening at the Bast Center. The Maroons improved to 10-4 overall, 9-1 in conference play. The Wildcats dropped to 0-16, 0-11 in the ODAC.
 
With the win, Roanoke improved to 54-4 in the series, including its eight-straight victory over the Wildcats. The four-game win-streak is the longest of the season for the Maroons.
 
The Maroons held the Wildcats to 23.2% shooting on the night, 4-of-24 from beyond the arc (16.7%). Roanoke shot 48.4% on the evening and won the rebounding battle, 47-37.
 
Jordan Gholson scored a season-best 22 points and tied a season-high with three blocked shots in addition to eight rebounds. Her 1,054 career points trail Leonda Hudson '75 for 15th on the all-time scoring list at Roanoke. Rachel Dellehunt posted career-bests with eight points and five rebounds while Nicci Moats had 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots. 
 
Sydney Webb added six points, 2-for-3 from downtown, and a career-best five boards. Bethany Holland tossed in eight makers and a career-high four steals as Kylie Lucas finished with four points and seven caroms.
 
Lauren French led the Wildcats with 12 points and five rebounds. Brandie Witt had nine points, five rebounds and two steals.
 
The women return to action this Saturday in Greensboro, NC as they play Guilford in conference action. The Maroons are 4-0 in road games this season and knocked off the Quakers, 73-64 on Dec. 7. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
