The Lead: Roanoke held Meredith to single-digit scoring in three of four quarters en route to a 88-39 win Wednesday night in Salem.  

 How it Happened:

• Allison Livengood led RC with 22 points. Cary Beahm had 14 points and Bridget Holleran had 10 for the Maroons which shot 52.% for the game, making 39-of-75 shots on the night.
• The Maroons held Meredith to just 24.5% shooting on the night. The Avenging Angels made just 13-of-53 attempts on the evening and turned the ball over 30 times, leading to 43 RC points on the other end. RC recorded 18 steals led by Livengood and Foster each with four.
• With the score 6-5 in the first quarter, the Maroons finished the quarter on an 11-4 run, pushing their way to a 17-9 lead on a Beahm three-pointer with two seconds left.
• Roanoke held Meredith to just five points in the second quarter and a 20-3 run to blow open the game, with a three point play extending the RC lead to 37-12 with 4:30 to play. The Maroon then scored eight of the final 10 points of the half to hold a 40-14 lead at the break.
• The Maroons opened the second-half with a 21-2 run going up 61-16 with 2:11 to go in the third quarter.
