The Lead: Roanoke outscored Mary Baldwin by 22 points in the third quarter to open up a big lead and go onto a 78-47 win on the road.

How it Happened

• Four Maroons were in double-figures led by Cary Beahm with 14 points. Jamella Foster added 12 points, while Allison Livengood and Molly Hassell each had 11 points.
• Roanoke held a 46-34 edge on the glass led by Beahm and Livengood who had 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively in the win.
• Maroons shot 50% for the game, making 33-of-66 shots on the night. Mary Baldwin made 17-of-56 (30.4%) shots on the evening. Khaihiqa Davidson came off the bench to score 14 points for the Fighting Squirrels.
• RC forced 22 turnovers which the Maroons turned into 30 points. The Maroons had 13 steals led by Hassell with four.
• Roanoke led 17-13 after the first quarter and opened up the second quarter with a 13-3 run, taking a 30-16 lead on a Chris Martin jumper with 4:21 to go in the half.  
• Mary Baldwin then closed the half on an 11-2 run of its own to send the teams to the locker room with Roanoke leading 32-25.
• Roanoke put the game away with a 17-2 run that was capped by a Hassell three-pointer that made the score 49-27 with just over two minutes to go in the third quarter.
